Geoff Feehan played his early football with Wodonga and later Elwood in Melbourne before joining St Kilda in 1957. He played 44 games for the Saints from 1957 to 1959 before joining Norwood in 1960.

Feehan, a ruckman, was recruited along with a number of other Victorians to strengthen Norwood’s league ranks after Alan Killigrew was appointed coach in 1959.

It is a measure of Geoff Feehan’s character that in his first year he won the club award for best team man on and off the field

Feehan’s partnership with Bill Wedding gave the Redlegs the leading ruck combination in the competition and was instrumental in the team reaching the 1960 and 1961 grand finals. He was high in the best players in the 1960 grand final against North Adelaide.

Feehan played four seasons with the Redlegs and unlike many of the other Victorian imports at the time, chose to make his home in Adelaide where he still resides.
