Matthew Lobbe is currently the Port Adelaide Power Ruckman. He was the number 16 pick in the 2007 National and played his first game against St. Kilda in Round 5 2010.
Lobbe is currently aligned with West Adelaide.
In his first AFL game he won against the Saints in the ANZAC Round. Lobbe was key around stoppages and tenacity around the ball led him to become Dean Brogans support. However, hamstring injuries would stalk Lobbe to only play 3 games in 2010.
Lobbe had missed the first 5 games of the year with a shoulder injurey, but still impressing in the SANFL, the Power selected him in Round 14. Lobbe played the last 10 games of the year and becoming a key player for the Power averaging more than 22 hit outs, and also had a career best of 35 hit-outs against the Western Bulldogs in Round 22. Lobbe also could apply great pressure with 39 tackles in 10 games.
Lobbe had hip surjery in January ruled him out in 3 months.
